Our Story
Built on a Love for Animals and Community
Dr. Francisco Alvarez's passion for veterinary medicine began during his high school years in Baytown, TX, where he worked as a kennel technician and discovered his calling. Inspired by the veterinarians who mentored him, he went on to earn both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University — becoming the first in his family to graduate from college.
After acquiring and revitalizing Baytown Animal Hospital in 2020, Dr. Alvarez expanded his mission to Montgomery County by opening Woodforest Animal Hospital. He recognized that families in Montgomery, The Woodlands, Conroe, and Magnolia deserved the same level of compassionate, expert small animal care — close to home. For his extraordinary commitment to veterinary practice, he was awarded the PSI Practitioner of the Year in 2021.
Joined by Dr. Kelsey Williams, DVM — also a Texas A&M graduate with a background in Animal Science — Woodforest Animal Hospital has become a trusted destination for dogs and cats across Montgomery County. Dr. Alvarez and family share their home with three dogs, and he enjoys spending time with his family, watching Aggie football, hiking, and fishing.

Located at 14920 FM-2854, Montgomery, TX 77316, we proudly serve pet owners throughout Montgomery, The Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia, Spring, and surrounding areas. We care for dogs and cats and are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
